Surely if you’ve been a consumer of TV shows, you’ve noticed an ad here or there for a “crossover episode”: Buffy and Angel, Law & Orders, Chicago Fire/PD.  There’s some excitement to creators bringing together two existing formats and adding a new element or two and seeing what happens!
